Important Properties :-
1.it is stable as a dry non-hygroscopic, odourless & colourless free-flowing powder.
2. It is moderatily soluble in water and is slightly soluble in other polar solvents. It is soluble in formaldehyde but is insoluble H2SO4
3. pH of 1% Solution of SA at 250C is 1.25
4. AT RT, the solution for SA remains stable for many months, but at higher temp. hydrolysis is rapid.
5. M.P. is 2050C and it decomposed at 2090C
