3. WARPING

One of the earlient stages of obtaining a sheet of yarn,  suitable for weaving is the warping stape. The sheet of yarn is prepared from a number packages of yarns known as cones or chee. When yarn in the form of cones is used for the unwinding sometimes becoming a problem especially in the case of dyed cheeses or cones. In actual practice it has been observed that of the bleached or dyed packages are treated with a suitable lubricating agent such as glycerine or soluble oil, the unwinding of the packages is greatly facilitated during warping and the yarn breakages during unwinding are considerably reduced. Thus here also the use of an auxiliary is found to be extremely useful. Similarly, for reasons will-known, it is profitable to use anti-static agents for the yarn at the warping stage for reducing the incidence of static electricity, especially in the case of synthetic yarns of noncellulosic origin
