The traditional or conventional method:-
This method involves adding dye and electrolyte to the bath below the fixation temperature and then heating the bath to the fixation temperature prior to alkali addition. This method is used when rapid exhaustion is undesirable and when the dyeing equipement has efficient heating controls. If the rate of salt addition and temperature increase are not well controlled, unlevel dyeings may occur
