Nylon production rose by 2% to 3.95 million tons. Production increased by 17% in China, and also grew in ASEAN and India. Production in Korea declined by 6% due to a dull domestic market, while production remained firm in Taiwan supported by vigorous exports. Production in Western Europe decreased by 1%; although textile applications were low, industrial material applications were vigorous.
