Azoic colours

In this type, the fibre is first impregnated with a coupling component having good substantivity on the fibre under alkaline conditions and it is subsequently treated with a diazonium salt solution separately to produce the insoluble dye on the fibre. Hence, azoic colours involve two types of intermediates, azoic diazo components and azoic coupling components with good substantivity on cotton.
